As one of my asute readers pointed out, KY Yuengling drinkers are wasting precious gas and spewing out vehicle emissions in search of their favorite brew in nearby states. Yuengling could reduce their impact on global climate change by distributing in KY and not forcing us to drive long distances for a case of lager. The sad news is we may be waiting a while. In a March 2009 interview, Dick Yuengling said he's taking a break and pushing the "pause" button. "No more building, no more brewery acquisitions and no new states after West Virginia is added to Yuengling's lineup this spring, he said." There is only one reasonable response - the KY campaign must become more aggressive!

Cases of Yuengling started rolling into WV retail stores and bars this week. Hard to believe! Read the WV story and watch the video http://www.wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=58747 The Bluegrass State now has two border states (TN and WV) with Yuengling on the shelves. I know the WV folks have been waiting a long time for this day. The Buckeyes to our north are lobbying for this brew as well, however if OH gets on the Yuengling train before KY, I will be irritated.

Yuengling has earned the distinction of being America’s Oldest Brewery and celebrates its 180th Anniversary in 2009! All Yuengling lovers understand this is a great reason to celebrate with a cold Black and Tan, Lager or Porter. I've was fortunate to stock up on some 12 packs of Yuengling during my holiday travels south, however my supply is dwindling. We need your support to get this fine brew to Kentucky! Vote now, add your comments to the blog and let's get the campaign in high gear during this Yuengling anniversary.

Us Kentuckians are deprived this holiday season - no Yuengling available in our great state. So during this time of year, don't forget to ask your family and friends that are traveling to KY from these states not to arrive empty handed - bring some Yuengling brew for you! I was fortunate to have family from both NC and GA celebrate Thanksgiving at our home. Some twelve packs of both traditional Lager and Black & Tan are now chilling in the fridge! For a limited time, the Yuengling Variety Packs are in stores now. It’s a full case sampler that includes four different 6 packs. I hope Santa leaves a Variety Pack for me (hint).

Yuengling, a great domestic beer brewed since 1829, is NOT sold in Kentucky. As a loyal Yuengling consumer, I am starting a drive to add Kentucky to the list of 12 states now part of the Yuengling distribution territory. Kentucky has states to the east (Virginia) and to the south (Tennessee) that currently sell Yuengling. Georgia was just added at the end of October 2008. It make take a while to convince the Yuengling family to expand to another state, however let's be patient, but persistent. The drive is on! Help yourself and all loyal Yuengling consumers in Kentucky and post your comment in support of bringing this great beer to the Bluegrass State!
Visit the official Yuengling site to read the history and seven fine beers currently produced by this family owned brewery.
